The first Ukrainian cuisine restaurant open on Cote d’-Azur
October 6, the first Ukrainian cuisine restaurant ‘Le pont vers KIEV’ (26 Quai Lunel, Nice) opened in Nice, Cote d’-Azur.
On this day its owner Natalia Lupiy welcomed everyone who loves or just wants to try Ukrainian dishes.
The restaurant, translated as ‘bridge to Kyiv’, offers its guests popular Ukrainian dishes: borshch, varenyky with different fillings, Kyiv chicken cutlet in a very original presentation, pickles, crepes etc.
It is worth mentioning that restaurant interior (walls and bar counter) is decorated with Petrykivsky painting made by artist Viktoria Tymoshenko from Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

IL-76MD aircraft to join NATO Trident Juncture-2015 trainings
October, 19-28 Ukrainian military aircraft IL-76MD participates in performing NATO joint operations.
Trident Juncture-2015 is NATO’s largest and most ambitious training for the last 10 years. The training mission is to demonstrate NATO’s advanced level of combat readiness and its readiness to react on new safety alerts.
The training runs in October and November in Italy, Portugal and Spain.
About 36 000 militaries from 30 countries are participating in the operation.

II Ukrainian Festival in Japan
November, 15 II Ukrainian festival, organized by Ukrainian community in Japan ‘Krayany’ (www.facebook.com/ukrainians.japan), is held in Yokohama.
The festival program includes: Ukrainian cuisine, workshops on pysanka painting, yarn doll, Ukrainian dance; photo exhibition, photos shoot in traditional Ukrainian clothes, exhibition and sale of Ukrainian souvenirs, presentations ‘Let’s discover Ukraine’, and concert ‘We are Ukraine’.

The first hostel for ATO soldiers and their families open in Kyiv
Volunteers opened in Kyiv the first hostel for ATO soldiers and their families. The hostel building was remodeled with the help of international companies and businessmen.
The hostel can hold up to 20 people. It is equipped with free TV, Internet, kitchen and shower.
The hostel is open especially for ATO participants who come to Kyiv for paperwork in the Ministry of Defense or medical care; soldiers who connect at Kyiv while rotation or on vacations, as well as families of wounded soldiers who are staying in Kyiv hospitals. The volunteers from other Ukrainian cities are also welcomed.
Volunteers plan to open in Kyiv several similar hostels.

Zaporizhzhia children’s TV-studio triumph at international festival
Children from television studio ‘Hrani’ (Zaporizhzhia) won the first place in VII International Children Television Festival ‘Dytyatko’.
Young journalists became the best in ‘The Best Television Program by Children’s Studio’ (‘Super-expert’ program).
The studio works in four main directions: photojournalism; journalism and publishing; computer animation, and movie production and television.
In total, the festival was submitted above 800 applications from 50 countries: USA, France, UK, Philippines, Ghana, Shri Lanka etc.
