25-years-old Oksana Umantsiv from Ivano-Frankivsk sells Ukrainian food through Facebook in Paris. Her dishes have been ordered both by Ukrainians and the French as well. The locals even ask why there are no Ukrainian fast-food cafes in the city.
As Oksana says there are several restaurants in Paris where one can try Ukrainian dishes. However, there was no opportunity to order home-made Ukrainian food before. In Paris Ukrainian professional cooks mostly cook for receptions or weddings

Ukrainian Salvador Dali lives in Berezhany
Optical illusion oil paintings by artist Oleg Shuplyak from the city of Berezhany (Ternopil Oblast) have been published in the world famous Daily Mail and Huffington Post. His works have been already exhibited in USA, Japan, Korea and UK.
Ukrainian artist was inspired by the surrealism founder Salvador Dali to combine two plots in one painting. Being a student Oleh saw a painting ‘Slave Market with the Disappearing Bust of Voltaire’ where he managed to find the portrait of the author.
First optical illusion was just a hobby. However, seeing how people were amazed by it Oleg was inspired to create more and more. The artist has his own set of rules: all elements of the painting must be logically connected with each other, i.e., if it has an image of a writer (poet, artist etc.) it also shows his works (characters, poems, styles etc.). Oleg created his first painting in 1991. Now he counts more than 60 works.

New Year toys made in Ternopil are in great demand in Europe
‘Irena Ko’ company, the New Year toys factory located in Ternopil, produces diverse Christmas decorations: balls with decorations, formed and landscape decorations. The owner Irena Butyter has been already involved in this business for 25 years.
Every New Year toy is born in the workshop where the forms are blown. Glass tubes are melted over a 1000⁰C with gas burner and cut into molds. Then they are molded into required shape. The future toy is undergone through a decorating process where it is silver-plated, fined down or colored. However, the most interesting stage is decorating when skilled artists turn a simple ball into an artwork.
