Kyiv to host the first Sweet and Pundyk Festival

November, 19-20 the Chamber of Commerce will host the first Sweet and Pundyk Festival. Besides sweets (pundyks, dumplings, cakes, eclairs, chocolate, useful natural sweets) the guests will also taste cheese, sausages, sauces and liqueurs. The event program also includes workshops for children such as cake decorating, sweet and lollipops making.

The festival entrance is Hr 30 (ticket price includes all festival activities). Free entrance for children under 6 years.

Lviv students to go to the World final on programming

Taras Savitskyi, Andrii Makar and Volodymyr Radiuk, the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv students, won the Southeast European Programming team championship held in Vinnytsia. Semi-finals took place in Vinnytsia and Bucharest and brought together 50 teams from six countries such as Bulgaria, Macedonia, Ukraine, Romania, Serbia and Turkey. As LNU Algotesters team coach, Vasyl Biletskyi, said the competition semi-finalists would go to the 2017 World Final to be held on May, 20-25, 2017 in South Dakota.

ACM/ICPC or ICPC (ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest) is an annual multi-tiered competitive programming competition among the universities of the world held under the auspices of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).

Kyiv to present the largest innovation center in Ukraine

Ukraine’s largest innovation center iHub will open in Kyiv. At present time repair works are being performed. The center covers an area of 1,600 square meters. The space will dispose 8 public conference-rooms, 12 meeting rooms for events with limited access, four recreation spaces, gym and showers. The center is said to host 200-300 events involving more than 10 000 people. As Dmytro Podoliiev, iHub center network founder, says the project cost is Hr 10-15 million.

Chocolate Castle of Snow Queen takes ‘bronze’ in Erfurt

Liudmyla Dubish, master of Bondarenko pastry house (Mukacheve, Zakarpattia Oblast) won bronze at the Culinary Olympics held in Erfurt, Germany. The judges appreciated the chocolate Castle of Snow Queen Liudmyla presented at the competition. In total, the culinary competition was attended by teams from 42 countries.

Ukraine gets European Property Awards

Housing complex ‘New England’ in Kyiv (project of ‘Royal House’ company) became a finalist of the European Property Awards contest. The award ceremony took place at London’s Grosvenor Square Marriott Hotel on October 27.

The prize of such a high level contest is a great victory for Ukraine because the top three places have been usually taken by companies from Belgium, Turkey and Spain.

‘New England’ housing complex is located in Kyiv, Holosiiv district. There is a dolphinarium, shopping mall, exhibition center, Kyiv racetrack and riding club nearby. The complex got the name for its architecture and landscape design inspired by classic English buildings.

European Property Awards is a stage of the International Property Awards contest, one of the world’s most prestigious real estate awards, annually given since 1995 in London.
