During
478 days ‘Folknery’ band was spreading Ukrainian spirit worldwide
February 20, 2016 the musicians of Ukrainian band
‘Folknery’ passed a Ukrainian flag to the representatives of Ukrainian diaspora
in Australia. This way they finished the longest cycling expedition in the
history of Independent Ukraine.
October 1, 2014 the musicians Volodymyr Muliar and Yaryna
Kvitka got on their bicycles with an idea to ride half of the world starting
from Maidan in Kyiv and finishing in the biggest Australian city. Having
covered 25 000km within 478 days (17 000km on bicycles) the musicians finished
their ride in Sydney where they were met by local Ukrainian community.
‘Folknery’ dedicated this trip to peace and unity in
Ukraine. Same as in previous trips they were collecting folk songs of different
nations and singing Ukrainian songs in the streets of 13 different countries.

Ex-house
of Alain Delon to bring ‘Ukrainian message’
Ukrainian cultural center in Paris (the house where
Alain Delon and Romy Schneider used to live) will be renovated in Ukrainian
style.
The project ‘Ukrainian Message’ (by Oleh Volosovskyi
and Dana Kosminii) was presented in Kyiv. Ukrainians plan to renovate the house
for future exhibitions, events and presentations, and to present Ukraine
through architecture, technologies, design and art as well.
The best Ukrainian designers will be engaged in the
process. It is known that the project authors want to decorate the house with
traditional Ukrainian symbols, ribbons and rushnyks.

among TOP-25 cheapest countries to live
On the indexes of 2015 Ukraine took 24th place in the
cheapest countries to live rating.
The rating was made by American portal GoRankingRates.
Analytics took into account the following four metrics:
local purchasing power index, rent index, groceries index and consumer price
index
Among the cheapest countries are SAR, India, Kosovo.
The most expensive countries include Bermudas, Bahamas, Honk Kong.
The ranking embraces 50 countries.

‘Antonov’
and ‘Taqnia Aeronautics’ to launch AN-132 production
‘Antonov’ state enterprise is going to support AN-132
aircrafts production at aircraft manufacturing complex located in Saudi Arabia.
‘February 21, 2016 Mykhailo Hvozdiov, the president of
Antonov’ state enterprise, and Ali Mohamed Al-Gamdi, the president of ‘Taqnia
Aeronautics’ have signed the agreement on cooperation on organizing an aircraft
manufacturing complex in Saudi Arabia and AN-132 production’, the enterprise
website informs.
The signing ceremony took place at the ADEF 2016
exhibition.
The document includes supplies, organization of
exploitation and post-sale support of AN-132 and AN-178, and further works on
joint production of AN-132 in Saudi Arabia.

Ukrainian
rushnyk can be seen on Everest
Ukrainian alpinist Tetiana Yalovchak (who has already
climbed more than 50 different world mountains) plans to conquer the highest
world peak, Everest (8848m).
‘No Ukrainian woman has managed to conquer this
mountain before’, the alpinist comments.
Tetiana says that it will be a patriotic expedition.
She has already prepared a Ukrainian rushnyk to spread at the top on the
mountain.
Ukrainian will climb the mountain together with seven
other alpinists from all over the world. The expedition to be started on April,
12 and last about two months.
