Lviv restaurant design is awarded in London
Mark Zarkhin, ‘Pizza Celentano’ founder, and Arsen Kostyshyn, ARS-IDEA Interior and Architectural Design Studio bureau founder, were awarded with International Property Awards. The ceremony was held in London.
The award for the best restaurant design went to ‘Celentano Ristorante’ located at Lviv hotel ‘Ibis’.
‘Pizza Celentano’ restaurant chain is the largest Ukraine’s network working for 18 years. There are ‘Celentano Ristorante’ restaurants in Lviv, Kyiv, Rivne and Kryvyi Rih. Their specific features are distinctive, bright and eclectic design, modern child’s room, thin pizza from Italian dough, pizza freestyle show and Italian dishes.

Ukrainians’ Day to be annually celebrated in the Canadian province
The Canadian province of Alberta will now designate September 7 as Ukrainian-Canadian Heritage Day, starting in 2017.
The date marks the day in 1891 when the first documented settlers from Ukraine, Ivan Pylypiv and Vasyl Yelyniak, came to the province.
‘Ukrainian culture has become a part of Alberta culture’, Economic Development and Trade Minister Deron Bilous told.
There are 345,000 people of Ukrainian heritage in Alberta. Bilous said his own grandfather, a shoemaker, came to Canada from Ukraine nearly 90 years ago, ‘Albertans of Ukrainian heritage have made tremendous contributions in every aspect of Alberta society, from business and industry to academia, public service, culture and sports. Ukrainian Albertans have made Alberta a better place for all of us’

Ivano-Frankivsk girl among 10 most beautiful women in the world
20-year-old Veronika Mykhailyshyn from Ivano-Frankivsk, winner of the title ‘Queen of Ukraine-2016’, entered TOP-10 most beautiful women at the international contest ‘Miss Grand International 2016’.
In total 76 girls from all over the world competed for the main crown.
The competition was held in Las Vegas on October 8-25.

The device for upper extremities fine motor skills is invented
Oleksandr Shumskyi invented a device to helps people after brain injury and strokes to recover fine motor skills of paralyzed arms, motivate users to exercise and essentially advance rehabilitation.
Oleksandr was born in Dnipro, then studied abroad, at first he finished applied arts school in Israel and later Industrial Design Faculty of Milan Polytechnic University. Currently Oleksandr lives abroad.
The device developed by Oleksandr is a mitten with sensor which is put on a healthy arm. It reads the movements of the first finger and when it bends it sends Bluetooth signal to the damaged arm. The device generates electric charge going through the mussel and starts motoneuron of the damaged arm, ‘A person can dress himself, hold a cup and spoon and even pick up 2-liters bottles’.
The device costs $500, its weight is 250gr.

Ukraine to host the world’s largest opera association forum
May 18-20 Kyiv will host a conference ‘Arts unites’ organized by the largest world’s opera association OPERA EUROPA.
The event will bring together about 500 representatives of renowned opera houses.
The forum was initiated the Kyiv National Academic Operetta Theater.
