More than 300 items decorated in Petrykivka are exposed in Kyiv

‘Petrykivka rushnyk’
exhibition opened in Kyiv on March, 24. The exhibition showcases drawings on
paper, rushnyks, shawls, paintings on canvas, wooden plates, household items
and furniture, chests, porcelain with Petrykivka painting, clothes from ‘Synii
Lion’ brand, photo project about current life in Petrykivka.

The highlight of the
exhibition is an installation made of 7000 bullet cases ‘Mamai Is Ukrainian
Buddha’ themed on a famous painting in Petrykivka style by a talented and
recognized master Halyna Nazarenko. The bullet cases for the installation were
brought from ATO zone.

125 cultural projects to be realized in Manitoba Province, Canada

In 2016 Canadian
province Manitoba plans to realize 125 cultural projects dedicated to Ukraine.
The projects include art exhibitions, academic conferences and festivals.

The events will be
dedicated to the 125th anniversary since the first Ukrainian settlements
appeared in Canada.

support Ukrainians and bring back peace to the country’, Greg Selinger, the
Premier of Manitoba, mentioned.

Two Ukrainian universities first enter QS World University Rankings by
Subject

Taras Shevchenko
National University of Kyiv and Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine
entered the biggest world subject ranking QS World University Rankings by
Subject published for the sixth time.

Tchaikovsky National
Music Academy of Ukraine is in TOP-100 for the teaching of ‘Performing Arts’,
and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv is in TOP-400 (Math is taught
very well there).

Thus, Ukraine is among
60 world countries where one can get world-class education in one of several
subjects.

Zakarpattia castle of love to host the 1st Flower Festival

The Association of
Florists of Ukraine initiated the first annual Flower Festival ‘Love in
St.Miklosh’, the event is planned for May,14-15. The festival venue is the
picturesque ancient castle St.Miklosh.

Ten teams of
professional Ukrainian florists will show their skills at the festival. The
language of flowers will tell about constant search for harmony and happiness,
the works will be dedicated to a romantic story happened in the castle several
centuries ago.

The huge flower
installations will be all over the castle, on its territory and even on its
exterior walls.

Flowers-lovers from all
over Ukraine, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary and Czech will be able to
enjoy blooming castle at torch light and listen to a real love story.

Ukraine to produce duel-capable aircraft for India

Ukraine and Reliance
Defence Ltd, India, have signed a memorandum of manufacturing a dual-capable military
aircraft AN (for military and civil needs).

It is a basic aircraft
for 50-80 persons.

The estimated project
value is $ 5,3 billiard.

The aircraft will be
manufactured in Nagpur (Central India)
