Kharkiv native develops eatable food wrap

Serhii Tymchuk from
Kharkiv invented eatable food wrap which is environmentally friendly and keeps
food fresh longer.

It took the scientist
15 years to make the food wrap. The food wrap is made from cornstarch on the
bases of his proper type of corn. This food wrap helps to prolong bread time of
consumption from several days to several months.

‘Wrapped bread can
remain fresh up to 4 weeks. It can be eaten together with wrap even’, Serhiy
says.

If you put the wrap
into hot water it gets dissolved in 15-20 minutes and turns into soup broth, if
you just discard it it is decomposed in several weeks.

It is too early to
discuss volume production of the wrap, however, Serhii is convinced in the
future of his invention.
