The Netherlands in Ukraine: a tulip field blooming in Chernivtsi Oblast
A tulip field of 0.8 hectare is blooming in Luzhany village, Chernivtsi oblast. The field was opened for visitors on April, 13.
Earlier tourists could enjoy seeing a tulip field in the village of Mamaivka, however, Oleksandr Stratiichuk, the field owner, had to change the place. It took him a year to cultivate a new field: preparing the soil and planting the flowers.
In the nearest future the businessman plans to extend the field twice.
The flowers will be in blossom for the next two weeks.
The admission fee is UAH10 for adults, UAH for kids aged 6-12, and free for the retired and kids under 6.

Ukrainian butter, cheese and milk export to Bulgaria
The milk processor ‘Zolotonosha Butter-Producing Plant’ (Zolotonosha city, Cherkasy oblast) and Yahotyn Butter Plant (Zhurivka, Kyiv oblast) started exporting their products to EU.
The first EU import country is Bulgaria.
Zolotonosha Butter-Producing Plant exported 150kg of butter, 560kg of cheese and Yahotyn Butter Plant exported milk ‘Slavia’ and ‘Yahotyn Milk for Kids’.
The both companies are members of JSC ‘Milk Alliance’ group of companies.

Blood donor recruitment system startup wins in Stockholm
An automated blood donor recruitment system, YouDonor, (developed by DonorUA team) was awarded at Startup Weekend: Social Innovation held in Stockholm on March, 18-21.
YouDonor applies all modern communication tools to involve more donors (social networks, messengers, smart notification systems and target emails). The system of smart bots can automatically answer donors’ questions, send messages, monitor specified medical characteristics, and computerize some processes (for instance, booking a place in the blood donation center or informing about the center’s extra working hours).
DonorUA is a computerized blood donor system missioned to establish ‘donor-recipient’ contacts. The project is also aimed at coordinating blood donors and promoting free blood donation in Ukraine.

Greek ailine ‘Ellinair’ launches Liv-Crete flight
In summer 2016 Greek airline ‘Ellinair’ will fly from Lviv to Crete. The flights will be performed from June, 2 until October, 16 (on Thursdays and Sundays).
Moreover, ‘Ellinair’ is launching direct flight Lviv-Thessaloniki. This year direct flights to Chalkidiki peninsula, Olympic Riviera and other parts of Greece will be available for Ukrainian passengers as well.
‘Ellinair Airlines’ is a Greek air carrier working since 2013. The company flies to Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Serbia, Hungary, Romania, Poland and Cyprus.

Ukrainian doctors perform the first living donor lung transplantation
The doctors of O.Shalimov National Institute of Surgery and Transplantology (National Academy of Medical Science of Ukraine) performed the first in Ukraine living donor lung transplantation.
The donors (lower fractions of lungs) of the patient were father and mother.
The operation involved three teams of surgeons.
State of the donor and the recipient is satisfactory.
