Uкraine receives awards at National costume competition in China
Ukraine participated in the International diplomatic competition of traditional national costume organized by the magazine ‘The Diplomat Magazine’.
Ukrainians demonstrated costumes of the traditional folk wedding.
As the Embassy of Ukraine in China informs Ukrainian delegation received two awards, ‘The Best National Costume’ and ‘The Most Charming’.

Fashion show of Ukrainian designers on the Dead Sea coast
May 21-28, the first fashion show of the leading Ukrainian designers and young brands will take place in Jordan. The event is a part of the project DESIGNERS.UA in Jordan, international project of Jordan and Ukraine focused on cultural communication and development of long-term cooperation with Ukrainian designers.
The following designers will be presented in Jordan’s capital Amman: PODOLYAN, ELENAREVA, SEREBROVA, ROUSSIN, IVAN FOTESKO, RISHA, VIGIO, MARSEE’S, J.PEREKRIOSTOVA.
After the show the representatives of the Ministry of Economy of Jordan and Ukrainian designers will discuss the development of Ukrainian fashion in Jordan.

Bohdan Bondarenko wins ‘Diamond League’ in Morocco
Bohdan Bondarenko, high jump sector, won the third stage of ‘Diamond League’ competition held on May, 22 in Rabat, Morocco.
The second and third places went to athletes from the United States and Greece.
The next stage of ‘Diamond League’ is planned for May,28 (USA).

ScripTeast Award for the best screenplay
Ukrainian director and screenplay writer Marysia Nikitiuk received ScripTeast Award at the International Cannes Film Festival.
The jury highly evaluated the screenplay for the film ‘When The Trees Are Falling’.
‘It was the first time Ukraine participated in the ScripTeast. I hope my victory will be a start of a good tradition for future awards of Ukrainian authors and directors’, the award winner commented.
Moreover, the screenplay received €10,000 for the future production.
The filming is planned for August 2016.

Artists decorate banya at former Lubomirski estate in Odesa Oblast
May 14, 2016 ‘Easter Miracle’ holiday took place in Hetmanivka village (Savransk district, Odesa Oblast).
The highlight of the event was decorating the old banya (sauna) located on the territory of the former Lubomirski family estate.
The campaign was participated by Zoya Pasichna, the Honored Artist of Ukraine, Master of Traditional Folk Art, the member from the Center of Ukrainian Culture Ootsuk, and talented children form the Savransk Musical School Art Class as well. The ornament represents southern painting elements specific to Savransk district.
The holiday program also included dancing, singing and food tasting.
