‘The Heavenly Hundred
Garden’ project received a special award at European Prize for Urban Public
Space 2016 contest.
‘For the first time in
the contest history a Ukrainian public space has been recognized. All jury
members from seven European institutes were talking about emotional part of the
project and an unprecedented unity of the people who have created the garden. I
cried from happiness. It is a great joy to present today people who died in
order so that we could change our city’, Yevhenia Kuleba, the founder of the
NGO ‘City Garden’, wrote on her FB-page.

Excursions in Ukrainian are available in ‘Citysightseeing Tbilisi’ buses
After the successful
launch of the Ukrainian language guides in ‘Valandėlė’ City-Tour-Buses in
Vilnius, a group of Ukrainian volunteers ‘Guide-UA’ has prepared an audio guide
in Ukrainian for the tour bus company ‘Citysightseeing Tbilisi’.
The official
presentation ceremony of Ukrainian language audio guides was held in Tbilisi on
July, 5.
Guide-UA is a
non-profit volunteer project aimed at sharing Ukrainian language information
among tourisrs around the world.
Roopor project wins €100 000 in Paris
Roopor project entered
the winner’s list of the international competition Publicis90 and received €100
000. Roopor was the only winner from the CIS and Eastern Europe countries.
Roopor was developed in
2016 by an advertising agency Yarche. It provides the ability to run live audio
transmission with a click. As the developers say it combines functionality of
classic podcast and video streaming service.
Publicis90 сontect was
participated by 600 teams from around the world, however, only 90 won.
Publicis90 is a
competition initiated by one of the world’s largest media groups Publicis. On
the occasion of the 90th anniversary the company chose 90 IT-startups from
around the world to invest €10,000-500,000. The award ceremony took place at 90
Publicis VIVA Technology in Paris.

Ukrainian school in Bergamo finishes its fourth school year
In June 2016 ‘Flowers
of Ukraine’ school in Bergamo, Italy, finished its fourth school year.
After the Farewell Bell
ceremony the children attended the fair where could buy some books, sweets, art
and souvenirs. They paid for the goods with special green cards (called small
‘euro’) that had been given them for good marks, behaviour and achievement,
‘Kids loved it. They saw that effort and hard work can bring benefits
(souvenirs, tastes’, Veronika Rusnak, the founder and headmaster says.
Apart from lessons
(reading, writing, speaking Ukrainian) the school takes an active part in
charity events and cultural projects, for example, ‘Children are our heroes’,
Song festival ‘Chervona Ruta’, ‘Christmas Star’ holiday, ‘Our Taras Shevchenko’
action, etc., ‘Now we commissioned to organize Ukrainian culture festival ‘Ukro
2016′ to be held in October in Bergamo (last year the festival took place in
Milan). This commission is very honorable, however, it is responsible and
difficult at the same because we must take care of the teams, collect them from
Northern Italy, to arrange the space, sew costumes, agenda, music’.

Kyiv-Bucharest flight is available this fall

‘Dniproavia’ airlines launches flights Kyiv-Bucharest. They will be carried out
regularly, four times a week.
The plane will depart
from Kyiv at 2:40 p.m and arrives in Bucharest at 4:20p.m. The plane leaves
Bucharest at 5:00p.m and arrives in Kyiv at 6:40p.m.
The roundtrip ticket
costs Hr 5,200. The flights will be performed on Embraer 145.
