Editor’s Note: After almost six years of conflict the Normandy Four — Ukraine, France, Germany, and Russia — have met several times in hopes of bringing an end to Russia’s nearly six-year war in eastern Ukraine. The countries’ leaders are meeting on Dec. 9 in Paris, the first such gathering since October 2016.

Ukraine will probably come out with nothing. Last time it essentially didn’t lead to anything so why would it lead to anything this time. That is all.

Generally speaking, Ukraine has been behaving disgustingly. With our new guy, we really put our hope into this president, well it was no use, there is no peace.
It’s just horrible. It’s not possible to live normally in this country. They are killing in the Donbas, children are getting killed, the land has been sold to [George] Soros.
We need peace, we need to find some agreement to end all this filth.

I think Ukraine will leave the format with positives.I want Ukraine to find itself on the right path, for it to start taking the right steps. This meeting can give Ukraine the chance to not go farther into this slush and not stumble into the mouth of the abyss and to come out on a higher level.

I am not expecting any results from this meeting. I think that a better format of talks would involve the USA. Without the involvement of the states and it just being a meeting with France, Germany, with their interest in Russian gas, then I don’t think there will be any results from this meeting.

I think that everything has already been decided. I really support our new president but how he might help I’m not sure. I think that this will prolong for a while as long as Putin is in power. We won’t be able to do anything.

Honestly at this point I don’t have any hopes, after all this time. I mean, with the amount of time it’s taken to even agree to meet.
I have stopped hoping for positive outcomes. If they do agree to something at the meeting then great, if not then it’s not as if we are losing anything from that it would be the same.
With the change in administration then maybe something can come out of it.
