Oleg Ratner,
pensioner:
“It makes me mad. Doesn’t Ukraine have enough people with a higher education? I believe that Ukraine has a lot of smart people of its own. We don’t need those Russians at all.”

Vyacheslav Sukhomlinov,
engineer:
“It
is normal if they are professionals. I mean, if they are really good
specialists in their field, and not just some unqualified people.”

Natalia Vasilenko,
accountant:
“Actually, I don`t understand it. It’s the same as the appointment of Mikheil Saakashvili (the governor of Odesa Oblast). How could he be offered this position? I honestly don`t support this idea. It is better to hire Ukrainians.”

Ilona Budova,
freelancer:
“I’m skeptical about it. Recently, there was a report about a Polish citizen of Ukrainian origin who is fighting for Ukraine in Donbas. He was deprived of Polish citizenship and asked for Ukrainian citizenship, but wasn’t given it. And he’s risking his life for the sake of Ukraine. But Saakashvili was given a Ukrainian passport in one day. That’s strange, sad, and offensive.”
