PhD candidate at UCL’s School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES) in London, and is currently in the write-up stage of his thesis, which is a political economy of the modern Ukrainian elite. Before returning to university, he was editor/ economist for the western CIS (Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova) at the Economist Intelligence Unit, a publisher of business analysis and information.
