Franklin Holcomb is a Research Assistant at the Institute for the Study of War. He focuses on Russia’s global policy, particularly in the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe.
Mr. Holcomb received his B.A from Texas A&M University with a double major in International Studies: Politics and Diplomacy and Russian Language. As an undergraduate, he spent a year studying in Moscow, and Saint Petersburg and travelling across Russia and the former Soviet Union. He is proficient in Russian and speaks basic Ukrainian and Turkish.
