Hanna Hopko is an independent member of Ukraine’s parliament who chairs the Verkhovna Rada’s Committee on Foreign Affairs. She is a co-founder of the Reanimation Package of Reforms.
In 2004, she received an MA in International Journalism at Lviv University and a CEP Diploma for achievements in ecological teaching from the Civic Education Project. In 2008, she completed the Leadership Program in TC at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. In 2009, she was awarded a PhD in Social Communications at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. In 2012, she studied at the Ukrainian School of Political Studies.
Hanna is an expert in fields of advocacy, media and political communications. Co-Founder of the Bureau of Environmental Investigation. Member of the Board of Trustees at the Okhmatdyt National Children’s Hospital. Hanna Hopko was honored with the NDI Democracy Award for her efforts to further the cause of democracy in Ukraine. In 2014 she was recognized as the world’s prominent thought leaders in Foreign Policy magazine’s annual issue, “100 Leading Global Thinkers”.
