John Lechner is an M.S. candidate in Georgetown’s master of science in the foreign service program and a former financial analyst at Lazard and Deutsche Bank. He has lived and traveled extensively in Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Central Asia, and Africa. He has a B.A. in Slavic languages and literature from Harvard University and speaks Russian, Turkish, French, Serbo-Croatian, Georgian, Chechen, and some Ukrainian.
