Nataliya Katser-Buchkovska is a Ukrainian politician, influencer, and expert on energy and geopolitics. In 2014-2019, Nataliya served as a Member of Ukrainian Parliament where she led the Subcommittee on Sustainable Development. She has co-authored 20 transformative energy laws, designed the country’s energy resilience plan, and co-established the parliamentary group ‘Green Energy of Change’ supported by UNDP. Thanks to Nataliya’s efforts, the Ukrainian Parliament has completely reshaped gas, electricity, and renewables markets. Having ratified the Paris Climate Agreement and joined IRENA. Mrs. Katser-Buchkovsa leads the Ukrainian Sustainable Investment Fund—a brand-new investment promotion vehicle supporting responsible businesses. Meanwhile, she shares her expertise as Energy and Investments Advisor at the Ukrainian Institute for the Future—a major think tank that analyzes economic issues and designs innovative policies for Ukrainian development. In addition to being one of the most well-known female politicians in Ukraine, Mrs. Katser-Buchkovska is an internationally-recognized speaker and author on geopolitics and energy security. She became the Atlantic Council Millennium Fellow in 2019 (outperforming 1200+ candidates), spoke at Bloomberg NEF, CWC World LNG Summit, UN and WEF events, published her op-eds in the Financial Times, and was quoted by CNN, BBC, and Bloomberg. Nataliya Katser-Buchkovska has received B.A. in Law from Ivan Franko Lviv National University and M.A. in Law and Economics from University College London. She is currently obtaining an Executive Certificate in Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School.
