Alyona joined the Kyiv Post in 2012 as an advertising manager. In 2014 she was promoted to commercial director. Alyona and her team help the Kyiv Post stay journalistically vibrant by constantly coming up with new ideas and new events, such as our annual showcase, The Tiger Conference and the Top 30 Under 30 Awards. Under her leadership, Kyiv Post launched new publications, including the Legal Quarterly and Real Estate magazines, as well as the annual Doing Business Guide. She has taken charge of popular event formats serving the community, gathering sponsors and speakers, to make them happen. Among those events are evening Straight Talk discussions as well as CEO breakfasts and dinners. She also took it upon herself to become a founder and now the executive director of the Free Media Foundation, which seeks financial support to boost investigative journalism and professional standards.
