Yaroslav Zhelezniak is head of the 20-member Holos faction in the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament. He is the first deputy head of the parliamentary committee for finance, tax and custom policy. Previously, Zhelezniak worked as advisor to the prime minister on parliamentary relations (2017-2019) and advisor to the minister of economic development and trade for government affairs and parliamentary relations (2015-2017) as a member of the Strategic Advisory Group on Reform Support in Ukraine (SAGSUR). As an advisor to Ukrainian government, Zhelezniak was responsible for adopting bills, in particular, on ProZorro public procurement system, corporate governance in state-owned enterprises, medical reform, deregulation, and others. He also worked as an expert on parliamentary and government relations in multinational B2C corporation Anheuser-Busch Inbev (2014-2015) and Ukrainian GR-consulting company Kesarev Consulting (2010-2014). He graduated from the Institute of International Relations of the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University with a master’s diploma in international business relations.
