How did METROPOLE conquer?
he complex is located in the center Kyiv, in one of the most prestigious parts of Pechersk district, at 91-93 Bolshaya Vasilkovskaya Street. METROPOLE occupies the block the streets bounded by Predslavinskaya and Laboratornaya streets. The complex has three entrances from the different streets.
METROPOLE comprises a multi-level office complex with office premises and trading rooms, along with three residential towers each 25 floors high. The complex includes a Class A business center, a fitness center with a swimming pool and spa, an underground parking lot with five hundred parking spaces, complete with a charging center for electric cars, a car wash, motorcycle and bicycle parking area, a restaurant, shops, a supermarket, an early-development school, an open playground, landscape park, and much more. The complex’s full range of on-site infrastructure allows residents to live and work in the same complex, make purchases, spend recreations time with their family, engage in sports, and hold business meetings.

The project of an international team: architecture from Vasconi Architectes
The architectural solutions of METROPOLE were developed by Vasconi Architectes – an architectural office that has won numerous awards headquartered in Paris that has representative offices in Europe, America and Asia. Thomas Schinko is the chief architect of METROPOLE and at the same time the head of Vasconi Architectes.
Since the company was founded by Claude Vasconi in 1973, Vasconi Architectes has made significant progress on the global market under the leadership of Schinko. He has also won an international competition in Hong Kong to design an ultramodern waste recycling plant. Last year, Schinko took first place among architects at the international EXPO-2017 “Energy of the Future” specialized exhibition, held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
One of Schinko’s most recent projects in the hospitality business is the Hotel Melia Paris La Defense, which has a capacity of 369 rooms.
Applying a science-based approach to the design of buildings, Schinko makes the optimum use of space, creating environmental media within it, using innovative “green” technologies, exclusively eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient designs.

The features of the complex
METROPOLE was developed with the latest technologies. The well-insulated walls of the complex are made of red brick with a thickness of 250 mm, a layer of thermal insulation with a thickness of 150 mm, and a ventilated hinged facade.
One feature of METROPOLE is its unique energy-saving panoramic windows without partitions, 2×2 meters in size, with triple glazing, 1-cm-thick outside glass, and panoramic corner windows from floor to ceiling and from wall to wall. The windows have a high heat transfer resistance coefficient, and are made by the U.S. company Guardian. The windows are made with aluminum multi-chamber frames by Schüco, and in combination with the 3.2-meter-high ceilings, ideally blend with any interior solutions, from classical to modern.

The Schüco ventilation flap allows for the rapid airing of accommodation. The HP Neutral 60/40 coated Guardian glass has a balanced combination of sun protection and heat-saving properties.
The excellent energy performance coefficients of these buildings are ensured by the insulation of the external walls with Rockwool mineral wool plates.
Euromax ventilated nonflammable panels protect the building from the worst weather, and provide excellent noise and thermal insulation.
The buildings are equipped with high-speed, comfortable, silent Schindler elevators. These elevators, from the industry’s leading manufacturer, guarantee a smooth ride and 100 percent passenger safety.
The complex’s own boiler house made by German manufacturer Viessmann is another obvious advantage of the complex. It can respond quickly to changing temperatures outside
A multistage alarm system and reliable firefighting system give added privacy and security. The complex will have its own operating company, as well as a 24-hour concierge service.

The leading developer in Ukraine
Altis Holding, an international construction corporation, is the general contractor and developer of METROPOLE. The corporation was founded in 1995 by Alexander Glimbovsky. Today, Altis Holding has reinforced its position at the top of the domestic construction market, continuing the implementation of large national and international projects. The company’s own production assets include more than 3,000 workers and staff, and more than 450 units of construction equipment. The corporation is actively developing as an investor and developer of residential and civil projects. Its directions of activity include design, engineering, general contracting, development of municipal infrastructure and infrastructure construction.

The METROPOLE complex is scheduled for commissioning in the first quarter of 2019. Today, the building frame is being closed, and the installation of the Schüco window frames and housings is in progress. Work on engineering communications and interior decoration is also beginning. The insulation of the ventilating facades with Rockwool mineral wool is now being conducted.
