Mykola Mishyn joins KPMG in Ukraine
Mykola Mishyn, former head of the Transfer Pricing Audit Unit of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine (SFSU) has joined the KPMG team in Ukraine to head the Transfer Pricing Group. Mykola has more than 20 years of experience gained with the customs and tax authorities and designed the taxation regime in the area of transfer pricing. He also was part of the team that developed and improved all of the wider transfer pricing legislation and regulations. He has received an award as a Rank 1 Tax Practitioner and Tax Advisor.
“As a civil servant, active cooperation with the business community and consulting companies was an essential part of my role, and along with KPMG, we held a large number of events dedicated to the understanding of the highly complex field of transfer pricing. Transition from the civil service to the consulting area will allow me both to develop my career and share my experience gained during my work in the SFSU, with business representatives,” Mykola said.
“In my new role I will be advising clients on the prevention of transfer pricing risks, the preparation of accounts, working with the tax authorities during their inspections, and importantly, advocating the interests of clients in disputes over transfer pricing,” he added.

Over more than 17 years, Dmitry has gained experience in serving companies as an engagement manager and partner in projects carried out by large Ukrainian and international companies in auditing financial statements, performing special auditing and accounting procedures, internal controls and audit system analysis, and preparing management and financial accounts. He has extensive experience working under IFRS and the National Accounting Standards of Ukraine.
Prior to his latest appointment, Dmitry held the position of Partner, Head of Energy & Natural Resource KPMG in Ukraine. His experience with industrial production and energy enterprises includes developing and providing recommendations to improve internal procedures and processes, risk management framework analysis, and consulting on compliance with IFRS requirements.
