The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine has been shortlisted for the 2020 AmChams in Europe (ACE) Creative Network Award. The 650-member business association has been acknowledged for our Leadership in Times of Crisis project, a CNN-format online series of video interviews with AmCham member companies’ CEOs.
“We launched this project in April 2020 to help our members and help get their messages across during these uncertain times. We wanted to show our members that we care,” said chamber president Andy Hunder. “Communications are fundamental for leaders in times of crisis, and we stepped forward to help our members when you needed it most. We are now delighted to share this best practice with our colleagues across 43 AmChams in Europe.”
Already, 100 video interviews of 10 minutes each, the majority in English, have demonstrated an organic reach significantly higher than of standard social media posts, Hunder said. The videos have proven to be popular as they inspire with stories and facts. All videos are available for the public to view on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and the AmCham website.
The six shortlisted 2020 European Creative Network Award finalists are AmCham EU (COVID-19 portal), AmCham Germany (Female Founders Award), AmCham Israel (Outsight – Imagine the Future of Work), AmCham Kosovo (Virtual Forums), AmCham Slovenia, (YOUng Platform), and AmCham Ukraine with Leadership in Times of Crisis.
The Creative Network Award aims to incentivize AmChams to share creative initiatives and projects for the benefit of AmChams throughout the ACE network.
Hunder said the eye-catching design and format of the videos were created by Boris Kuleshov, AmCham Ukraine’s senior marketing coordinator.
Yuliana Chyzhova, senior communications officer, will present the project to a panel of 43 directors of European AmChams. When selecting a winner, “they will be looking for creative and innovative projects that have had a meaningful impact on the AmCham and members, with a clear potential to benefit other AmChams within the ACE network,” Hunder said.
The winner will be announced during the ACE annual meeting on Oct. 14.
Previous Winners of the award were Belgium (2019), UK (2018), and EU (2017).
