With all the ducks lined for yet another attempt at transformation, Ukraine is catching the attention of the international investment community, according to the well respected Institute of International Finance (IIF).

After more than two decades of neglect and abuse by its leadership, today Ukraine is the poorest country in Europe with almost all its post-Soviet catch-up growth still ahead of it. Blessed with a large population, a relatively diversified economy and some very attractive strategic assets like agriculture, the country should boom. The question is only: when?
