The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at a meeting on October 19 decided to allocate extra Hr 100 million for the “warm loans” program in 2018, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Services of Ukraine Hennadiy Zubko has said.

“An additional Hr 100 million has been allocated for the program of “warm loans” for this year. The corresponding decree was approved at a government meeting,” Zubko said on Twitter.

As reported, the Cabinet in April launched the financing of “warm loans” for 2018 in state-controlled Oschadbank, Ukrgasbank, and PrivatBank. Reimbursement for the purchase of non-gas boilers was 20 percent (for those entitled to subsidies some 35 percent), for individual housing insulation some 35 percent, for insulation of multi-apartment buildings some 40-70 percent. Private households and the associations of multi-apartment building owners also received additional compensation from local authorities.

Some Hr 270 million has been reimbursed for “warm loans” since the beginning of 2018. For the entire duration of the program, its participants have received Hr 2.3 billion of compensation from the national budget.
