You're reading: Cost of rental apartments increases in Kyiv, Odesa, decreases in Lviv

The cost of rental apartments increased, on average, by 2-26% in Kyiv in July-September compared to the previous quarter, in Odesa by 10-17% in a number of districts, while in Lviv prices are declining by 4-7%, according to the analysts of OLX Real Estate.

“With the introduction of the adaptive quarantine, prices for long-term rent increased 2-26% in Kyiv. The most significant rise in prices is observed for one-room apartments – by 6-26%, depending on the district. In comparison, two- and three-room apartments did not increase in price so much – only by 2-12% and 4-12%, respectively,” OLX said in a press release.

In addition, the number of vacant apartments on the market increased in the third quarter compared to the second one.

Average prices for one-room apartments in Kyiv vary on average from Hr 7,000 to Hr 17,000, for two-room apartments from Hr 8,000 to Hr 28,100, and for three-room apartments from Hr 10,000 to Hr 49,400.

Average prices for one-room apartments in Odesa were from Hr 5,500 to Hr 8,500, for two-room apartments from Hr 6,000 to Hr 10,500, and for three-room apartments from Hr 7,000 to Hr 16,400.

At the same time, in Lviv, housing rent of two- and three-room apartments decreased by 4-7%, depending on the district.

In July-September, the number of proposals for three-room apartments also increased by 33-53%.

The average rental price for one-room apartments in Lviv in the third quarter was from Hr 6,000 to Hr 7,500, for two-room apartments from Hr 7,000 to Hr 9,000, and for three-room apartments from Hr 8,400 to Hr 12,000.
