The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will provide a loan of 13 million euros to Nova Poshta (Ukraine) for the construction of a new automated parcel sorting terminal in Dnipro.

As stated in the report of the EBRD, the decision was made by the Board of Directors of the EBRD on July 27, 2021.

According to the report, this is a senior secured corporate loan of up to 13 million euros to be provided as a multi-currency facility available for disbursement in hryvnias and euros in favour of Nova Poshta LLC.

The automated terminal project is part of Nova Poshta’s long-term growth strategy envisaging a transformation of its logistical model in order to meet growing market demand, optimise the supply chain and offer better quality of service to the clients. The total cost of the project is 28.5 million euros, of which 14 million euros is for the design and construction of the terminal, 11.9 million euros for the purchase of a sorting line and other equipment, and another 2.6 million euros for contingencies, the EBRD said.

As reported, in 2018, Nova Poshta built the Khmelnytsky Innovation Terminal (HIT) using EBRD loan funds in the amount of 9.5 million euros. Nova Poshta signed an agreement on this loan with the EBRD on April 4, 2018.
