Hong Kong has changed conditions for import of eggs of Ukrainian origin, the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumers’ Rights Protection has said.

According to information on the agency’s website, the competent authority of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region reported that starting January 27, 2020 export of table eggs from enterprises authorized by the Hong Kong competent authority is possible only if there is evidence (expert opinions of authorized accredited laboratories) that each batch of exported table eggs does not contain fluoroquinolone and salinomycin antibiotics and are safe for human consumption.

“We draw attention of the market operators that exports of table eggs to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is possible only in case of a strict observance of the requirements of the country of destination,” the agency said.
