You're reading: Kyiv Post Employment Fair to welcome guests on Oct. 8 in Osvitoria Hub

On Oct. 8, the Kyiv Post will host the “offline” section of its biannual employment fair in Kyiv, bringing together employers and job seekers from across Ukraine. This will be the first time that the event will be held in person since the fall of 2019, when the coronavirus pandemic forced the 17-year tradition to go online.

This Friday’s event will take place in Kyiv’s Osvitoria Hub, 2 Moscovska St., a modern coworking and event center, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Entry is free of charge and those interested can register for the event on the employment section of the Kyiv Post website

Job seekers will have the opportunity to interact with major Ukrainian and international companies who are offering jobs, internships, and career advice to professionals across many different industries. Many exciting positions are available to discuss with employers.

LC Work is advertising top managerial positions in IT, ProCredit Bank is searching for talented advisers and analysts, and GOLAW firm is looking to fill numerous entry-level and senior vacancies across the company.

For those interested in working in government, the fair will host stalls from several state organizations that are eager to meet prospective employees. Attendees will be able to express their interest in vacancies with the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service, the National Guard of Ukraine, and even positions within the National Bank of Ukraine.

Even the Kyiv Post will be in attendance, looking for talented individuals to fill internal positions.

Participants will also have the opportunity to listen to a live seminar hosted by the Ukrainian talent head for the French international company Danone, Iryna Sitnikova. This year’s fair will be smaller than previous years to comply with coronavirus guidelines established by the Ukrainian Ministry of Health. Nevertheless, the venue is expected to welcome human resource directors from 12 companies and organizations, including international food and drink company Nestlé, Kyiv’s Premier Palace Hotel, ProCredit Bank, GOLAW firm, and Winner car importer.

Some employers have been known to offer on-the-spot interviews for positions, while others are looking to strengthen their HR presence and forge relations with professionals and graduates.

Job seekers will have the opportunity to network with professionals, gain career advice, speak to top hiring managers, and listen to advice on how best to advance their careers.

Online events

On Oct. 7, the Kyiv Post will also host an online event with Ukrainian investment firm Avalon. Information for this event can also be found on the Kyiv Post Employment Fair Facebook page.

HR business partner for Avalon, Anna Romanova, will discuss her experiences and the relationship between project and product management. Romanova has worked for Big Four companies, including KPMG Poland and SDC PwC in Lviv. Her seminar will give insights into the workings of corporate development and building employee potential.

Despite the global coronavirus pandemic, the Kyiv Post organized online events to help job seekers realize their potential. On April 14, the Kyiv Post welcomed Elena Sabry, a top job search coach and founder of the U.S Career Academy, which helps candidates prepare for job interviews.

This year, the Kyiv Post Employment section has posted job listings for dozens of top companies in Ukraine, including the U.S. Agency for International Development, the European Investment Bank, and Europe House. All job postings, including those from companies who are not attending the event, can be found on the Kyiv Post’s website.

A tradition since 2004

The Kyiv Post has a long history of helping major companies connect with graduates and young professionals. Since 2004, the Kyiv Post Employment Fair has helped job seekers to find work and understand the labor market.

In more than 30 events, the Kyiv Post has given candidates the opportunity to interact with international companies, start-ups, and leading Ukrainian businesses.

In 2019, the Kyiv Post welcomed more than 1,100 job seekers and 50 employers at Olympic Stadium, cementing the employment fair’s role as a must-attend event for any individual looking to find new employment or make their first steps into their chosen industry.
