Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Yakiv Smolii has said that the possible decision on the introduction of martial law due to the aggression of the Russian Federation in Kerch Strain in no way would affect the operation of the Ukrainian banking system.
“I would like to say that decisions that would be made would not affect the operation of the banking system. Banks’ branches and offices will operate as usual, and the decisions would not influence the operation of banks,” Smolii said at a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) on Nov. 25.
