You're reading: Nova Poshta launches secure online shopping service

Nova Poshta has launched a Safe Service for making secure online transactions between sellers and buyers, according to a report on the company’s website.

The service provides additional guarantees when making purchases, if the payment involves a transfer from card to card and helps protect both the sender and the recipient from fraud. At the same time, the data of payment cards for both parties remains confidential.

When using the Safe Service, the transaction is carried out through the mobile application or the business office of the Nova Poshta website, while the amount required to pay for the goods does not go directly to the seller’s account, but is reserved.

After that, the seller sends the parcel, and afterwards the buyer has examined and picked it up, the funds are transferred to the seller’s card. If the purchase does not fit, it goes back to the seller, and the money for the goods is returned to the buyer.

“Thus, the buyer has the opportunity to inspect the parcel before buying, avoids the risks of prepayment for the goods on the card to unknown sellers and receives additional protection from fraudsters. And the seller can safely send the parcel and be sure that he will receive money, and if it is returned, he will not have to pay for delivery,” Nova Poshta said.

The Safe Service is operated by Post Finance financial company, which is part of the Nova Poshta group of companies.
