You're reading: Prices for construction work in Ukraine grow by 3.7% in 2020

Prices for construction and assembly work in Ukraine in 2020 grew by 3.7% compared to 2019, the State Statistics Service has reported.

According to the statistics authority, during 2020 prices had increased in all construction segments. So, in residential construction the growth was 4.8%, nonresidential it was 1.3%, and in engineering construction it reached 4.7%.

In December 2020 through December 2019, the cost of construction work in residential construction increased by 7.4%, nonresidential it grew by 6.1%, and in engineering construction it fell by 4.3%.

In addition, the State Statistics Service reported that in December 2020 compared to November 2020, the cost of construction of residential buildings grew by 0.5%, nonresidential buildings – by 1%, engineering structures fell by 0.6%.

According to the State Statistics Service, in 2019, prices for construction work in Ukraine grew by 6% compared to the previous year, while in 2018 – by 23%.

The indicators are given without taking into account the annexed territory of Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as part of the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
