The Verkhovna Rada has approved state support for newly created farms and farms with managers no older than 35 years. Farms will be also able to construct buildings and structures for agricultural production on leased land with the consent of their owner.
The bill on stimulating the activities of farms (No. 4046) was adopted at the final reading by the parliament on Sept. 24. It was supported by 291 MPs with the required minimum of 226 votes.
According to the text of the bill, newly created farm enterprises (in the first three years after its creation), farm holdings with separate farmsteads, family farms located in the mountains and in the woodlands will be able to apply for help from the state budget on non-refundable or refundable conditions.
