You're reading: Regulator increases upper price limits in power market

The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ukraine (NEURC) at a meeting on June 16 increased upper price limits on the day-ahead electricity market and the intraday market.

For hours of smallest daily load in the power system (from 00:00 to 07:00 and from 23:00 to 00:00), the upper price limit will be Hr 1,243.71 per MWh, for hours of highest load (from 07:00 until 23:00) it will be Hr 2,655.99 per MWh.

“We are following the path of liberalization so that the market receives the right price signals,” Commission Chairman Valeriy Tarasiuk said at the meeting.
