Rome will host the Italian-Ukrainian Business Forum on June 13.
Organized by the Italian Industry Confederation Confindustria and the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the event will bring together Ukrainian and Italian government officials and a wide range of entrepreneurs.
The forum will mainly focus on Ukrainian-Italian cooperation in infrastructure, energy efficiency, agriculture, as well as investment opportunities.
According to Svetlana Kutseva, director of the department of international relations at ULIE, around 20 Ukrainian businesspeople are expected to attend the forum.
“Overall, the forum will have 80-90 people from both sides,” Kutseva said.
Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv, head of ULIE Anatoliy Kinakh, Agriculture Minister Olga Trofimtseva and other government officials are planning to represent the Ukrainian government and speak of Ukraine’s promising economic sectors.
There will be Italian officials at the forum as well, including Lucia Mattioli, vice president of Internationalization Confindustria; Manlio Di Stefano, undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Roberto Luongo, general director at ITA-Agency; and Marco Toson, president of Confindustria Ucraina.
This is the second time such a forum is being held; a similar one took place in 2016.
