As of May 24, Ukrainian agrarians planted spring grains and pulses throughout the areas of 6.97 mln ha, or 95 percent of the plan, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

In particular, the planted areas under early spring grains totaled 2.273 mln ha (96 percent of the forecast), including spring wheat — 167 thsd ha (95 percent), spring barley — 1.499 mln ha (96 percent), oats — 190 thsd ha (93 percent), and peas — 418 thsd ha (98 percent). In addition, agrarians planted corn for grain throughout 4.462 mln ha (97 percent), buckwheat — 80 thsd ha (53 percent), and millet — 35 thsd ha (62 percent), according to APK-Inform.
