You're reading: Ukraine exports 28.5 million tonnes of grain since July 1

Ukraine exported 28.52 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops from July 1, when the 2018/2019 marketing year began (MY, July-June) to February 6, 2019, which was 16 percent up year-over-year.

Some 11.6 million tonnes of wheat, 3.27 million tonnes of barley, and 13 million tonnes of maize were shipped abroad over the period under review, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food has said.

Ukraine also exported 150,600 tonnes of flour by the said date.

As was reported with reference to the ministry, Ukraine exported 39.4 million tonnes of grain in MY 2017/2018.

Exports of grain in the 2018/2019 MY are projected at 47.2 million tonnes.
