The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine intends to sign an intergovernmental agreement with the French government on official support in the creation of a unified aviation safety and protection system in Ukraine.

According to an Interfax-Ukraine reporter, a respective decision was made at a meeting of the Ukrainian government in Kyiv on May 10. In particular, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft of this agreement and authorized Interior Minister Arsen Avakov to sign the document.

The agreement foresees the provision by the French side of 500.4 million euro loan, which includes treasury bills and a bank loan, to implement a project to create a unified aviation safety and protection system.

According to the document, up to 85 percent of the value of all contracts will be financed.

The loan should be used to finance contracts with Airbus, which should include the purchase of at least 50 percent of French goods and services.
