You're reading: Ukraine pays $110.7 million in interest on eurobonds-32

The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine on March 25 redeemed the seventh coupon payment on external government bonds (eurobonds) with maturity until 2032, the ministry told Interfax-Ukraine.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the total amount paid was $110.7 million.

As reported, Ukraine in September 2017 placed 15-year eurobonds for $3 billion, including in the amount of $ 1.7 billion for the exchange or redemption of eurobonds with maturity in 2019 and 2020, which were issued as part of debt restructuring in 2015, and payments of accrued interest on them.

The new eurobonds bear an interest rate of 7.375% per annum. Coupon payment on them is carried out every six months – on March 25 and on Sept. 25.

Their repayment is scheduled in equal payments of 25% of the principal amount on March 25 and Sept. 25, 2031, March 25 and Sept. 25, 2032.
