You're reading: Ukraine raises exports of poultry by 18.9 percent, pork by 61.5 percent in nine months

Ukraine in January-September exported 212,052 tonnes of poultry, which is 18.9 percent more than in the same period in 2016, the State Fiscal Service has reported.

According to its data, in monetary terms poultry exports increased by 38.2 percent, to $294.86 million.

Poultry imports in January-September rose by 39.5 percent, to 79,700 tonnes, in monetary terms by 36.8 percent, to $32.03 million.

According to the service, pork exports in the nine months of 2017 increased by 61.5 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2016, to 4,361 tonnes. In monetary terms the figure amounted to $9.22 million against $2.53 million in January-September 2016.

Pork imports to Ukraine for this period increased by 28.9 percent, to 3,170 tonnes. In monetary terms pork imports amounted to $5.9 million against $3.6 million for January-September 2016.
