You're reading: Ukrainians sell $135.5 million more currency than buy in September

The volume of cash sales by the population in September exceeded the purchase volume by $135.5 million, according to reports posted on the website of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

According to the regulator, in September compared to August of this year, Ukrainians increased the sale of foreign currency by 2.4%, to $ 1.48 billion in equivalent, and also increased its purchase by 3.9%, to $1.35 billion in equivalent.

In general, in the nine months of 2020, the sales volume ($11.65 billion) of cash currency prevailed over the purchase volume ($10.4 billion), the difference between which was $1.3 billion, according to the NBU data.
