Public joint-stock company Ukrgazvydobuvannia is introducing Petrel, Eclipse and Techlog software platforms of Schlumberger, a provider of technologies to the oil and gas industry, for 3D modeling of fields, the company’s press service has reported.
According to information in the ProZorro e-procurement system, the cost of the contract with Schlumberger to introduce Petrel and Eclipse is Hr 179.231 million (VAT included).
The Petrel platform allows creating voluminous static models of the geological structure of fields, Eclipse – using them to simulate the process of field development, to identify sites less involved in the development. In turn, the Techlog platform is designed to process the results of geophysical studies of wells. It allows allocating productive strata in the wells and tracking their distribution over the field.
“With the help of these software platforms Ukrgazvydobuvannia will be able to specify the geological structure of existing fields, the boundaries of deposits and hydrocarbon reserves, and maybe to identify previously undiscovered productive layers, which allows boosting fossil fuel reserves and making their extraction more rational and intensive,” the company said.
