JSC Ukrzaliznytsia has already purchased more than 277,000 protective masks and respirators for its employees.
The press service of Ukrzaliznytsia said on April 13, that employees are also provided with more than 22,000 liters of antiseptics, disposable gloves, goggles, disinfectants for premises and rolling stock.
In addition, some 10,000 of rapid tests for coronavirus (COVID-19) were purchased. The tests were transferred to departmental hospitals for the purpose of preliminary testing employees with symptoms of respiratory diseases for COVID-19.
The company plans to purchase more than 1.5 million masks and 50,000 liters of antiseptic.
Ukrzaliznytsia said that the company daily monitors the disease of railway workers in acute respiratory viral infections and cases of COVID-19 in employees. For this purpose, a special commission has been created to respond to cases of infected employees. This commission takes measures aimed at preventing the spread of the virus in particular, it is responsible for isolating patients and those in contact with them, as well as disinfecting the premises.
