Prices of vegetables from Ukraine’s so-called “borsch set” have significantly slumped over the past week, namely those of potatoes, cabbage, and carrots.

Traditional Ukrainian borscht, a hearty soup made with beetroot, meat and other vegetables, is often served with a dollop of sour cream and a sprig of dill. A common accompaniment is pampushki - small bread rolls served with garlic sauce.
