The United States can provide Ukraine with $550 million of grant technical assistance within the framework of a joint program for partial guaranteeing of loans issued to Ukrainian agricultural producers in 2023-2030. In total, the program implies the provision of $1.1 billion during nine years, the second half of which will be financed by Ukraine.
The relevant information was published on the Telegram channel of MP from the European Solidarity parliamentary faction Oleksiy Honcharenko, who presented a list of possible Ukrainian-U.S. projects that were presented by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during his working visit to the United States.
According to the MP, Ukraine turned to the United States for grant technical assistance in the amount of $550 million. The project proposes the provision of $150 million of grant assistance by U.S. financial institutions in 2022 to fill the charter capital of the fund, which provides a partial guarantee for loans issued to Ukrainian farmers and $50 million each during 2023-2030 years. At the same time, the total budget of the program for 2022-2030 is $1.1 billion, of which half is proposed to be financed by the United States, and the other half – by Ukraine.
