Kremlin commented on the opening of monument to “heroes of Donbas” by presidential aide Vladislav Surkov in Rostov-on-Don, saying that they do not consider such an act to be discrediting Moscow’s position. This was reported by the publication RBC agency.
According to the agency, Moscow does not believe that Surkov’s participation in the opening ceremony of the monument discredits Russia as a mediator in the settlement of the conflict in eastern Ukraine. Putin’s secretary Dmitry Peskov added that Russia “has been and remains the guarantor of the Minsk agreement.”
