Simonovsky district court of Moscow arrested Alexei Navalny for 20 days, as he numerously encouraged people to participate in unauthorized by the government rallies, according to Dozhd.
The court came to a conclusion that the administration of Nizhny Novgorod didn’t authorize the the rally of Navlny’s supporters. The judge emphasized that the organizer’s agreement to hold a rally can’t be perceived as an agreement. Moreover, the court came to a conclusion that the organizer, and Navalny as well, were notified about the refusal to hold a rally, but Navalny encouraged people to hold an unauthorized rally anyway, in a YouTube video.
