You're reading: Arbitration court calls recess in Siemens turbine case until October 24

MOSCOW – The Moscow Arbitration Court has announced a recess until Oct.24 in the preliminary hearing of a claim by Siemens and its joint venture with Power Machines, Siemens Gas Turbine Technologies LLC (St. Petersburg) against two divisions of the state Rostec corporation, LLC Technopromexport Foreign Economic Association and OJSC Technopromexport Foreign Economic Association, regarding the delivery of turbines to Crimea.

The plaintiff is seeking to invalidate the contract and reclaim property from unlawful possession.

The defendant petitioned during the hearings to suspend the case. It lawyer said a similar case was being heard where the JV is co-plaintiff and the demands and circumstances were identical.

The plaintiff requested a recess in order to draft and submit its written stance.
