MINSK – Belarus is extending the list of private individuals from the European Union who will be barred from entering the country and the Belarus-Russia Union, Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei said on Dec. 22.

“We have closely studied the entire so-called third package of the restrictive measures, and naturally, we have proposed our counteractions to this package. They also include the extension of the relevant personal list. This means that more persons from European Union countries will be unable to enter the territory of Belarus and the territory of the Union State, considering that the Russian Federation’s and our lists are the same,” the Foreign Ministry quoted Makei as telling journalists.

Belarus will also undertake “some legal steps in response to the absolutely baseless inclusion of a number of enterprises and persons in the EU list,” he said.
