MINSK – A total of 81,982 people with positive COVID-19 tests were registered in Belarus as of Oct. 8, the Health Ministry said.
Four hundred and seventy-seven new cases were registered over the past 24 hours, against 415 cases registered over the previous 24 hours.
“Eight hundred and eighty patients (against 874 as of Oct. 7) with a number of chronic illnesses and registered coronavirus infection have died on the territory of the country since the start of the infection spread,” the ministry said.
A total of 76,081 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 recovered and were discharged as of Oct. 8 (against 75,683 people as of Oct. 7), the ministry said. Thus, the increase over the past 24 hours is 398 people.
A total of 1,999,089 tests have been performed (against 1,976, 828 as of Oct. 7).
