Russian Communications Minister Nikolai Nikiforov believes that blockchain could be used in Russia, but says that bitcoin will not be legalized in Russia.
“Bitcoin is some foreign project to use blockchain technology; Russian legislation will never consider bitcoin as some legal entity within jurisdiction of the Russian Federation,” Nikiforov told reporters on November 20.
“But the use of blockchain technology is completely possible,” Nikiforov said.
